Our client is a publicly traded FMCG company that engages in the manufacture and marketing of its products to wholesalers, retailers and grocery chains, primarily in the United States, China, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. Since its establishment in 1973 in Hong Kong, the Company has become the fourth largest manufacturer in its market sector.
Our Client Requires
The Internal Audit Manager will report to the Regional Internal Audit Manager of South East Asia and assist the supervisor in examining and improving the performance and productivity of the organisation’s finance, operations and managerial processing systems and compliance with applicable laws, regulation and standards.
Your Role
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of risk-based internal audit plans
- Perform in-field audit of operations and finalise audit findings with management
- Managing the timelines and budgets of all audit projects under your responsibility
- Preparation of internal audit reports including findings, implications and sound recommendations in a timely manner
- Preparation of audit work programs and audit work papers, as well as properly documenting all audit work papers
- Follow up on management’s implementation plans from previous audit issues and report the results to the supervisor, middle management and senior management teams
- Comply with the department and company’s policies and procedures, laws and regulations and professional standards
- Review the Company’s policies and procedures and deliver constructive recommendations to the respective business unit owners
- Provide consultative services to management from time-to-time or when requested
- Participate in special projects assigned by the supervisor and senior management
- Continually improve necessary professional knowledge and skills as required
- Ability to perform tasks from planning up to Audit Committee presentation stage
KPI’s will be measured on the following duties:
- Managing the timelines and budgets of all audit projects under responsibility
- Following up on management’s implementation plans from previous audit issues and reporting results to the supervisor, middle management and senior management teams
- Providing consultative services to management from time-to-time or when requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Accountancy or related field (CPA/CISA/CIA or equivalent would be advantageous)
- Proficient in both written and spoken Thai and English
- Minimum of 5 years in Internal Audit – preferably more
- Manufacturing and/or FMCG background would be advantageous
- Willing to work and travel frequently outside Bangkok
- Strong computer literacy
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
- Carry out professional and ethical in-house internal audit duties
- Able to provides constructive recommendations or proposals to business unit managers at any point of time
- Ability to work under pressure, with short lead-times and minimal supervision
